God has ordained the church as His means of protecting and nourishing His children and telling others about Him. The church is not a building; it is people - God's people. There are many functions and responsibilities of the church. When the church and its leadership submit to the Lordship and leadership of Jesus Christ, the true purpose of the church is fulfilled. If you are not yet involved in a church or are looking for one, Pastor Chuck lists below things to consider:
Find a local church that fulfills the following
1. Biblical, God focused & Christ exalting worship.
2. Biblical preaching (where the Word of God is actually taught not just used in a message)
3. Biblical administration of baptism and the Lord's Supper.
4. Biblical servant-leadership (a plurality of elders/pastors)
5. Biblical exercise of church discipline
6. Biblical evangelism/missions
